Goal:
On National Walking Day, WellKind School aims to promote physical activity and healthy habits among our young learners, families, and staff by organizing a fun and engaging day.

To dos:

1. Talk to your students about this activity in a positive way.
2. Add a fun factor to your walk. Ex. You can create a scavenger hunt, dress like a character for the walk, give silly directions during the walk like “walk on your tip toes” or simply bring something fun to the walk like balloons or music.

Happenings Centerwide:
1. The whole center will go for a walk at 10:30 am around the designated path.
2. Parents are invited to join. Please be diligent about excellent supervision and positive interactions. Keep an eye on your classroom sign ups to see which parents will be joining.

* Engage students in age-appropriate activities that teach the importance of protecting the Earth and its resources.

* Introduce the concept of Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and encourage children to make eco-friendly choices.

* Start a small garden in your classroom, involving children in the process and teaching them about the life cycle of plants.

* Encourage children to make a personal commitment to reduce their carbon footprint and promote sustainability in their daily lives.

* Create a sense of community and shared responsibility for protecting the Earth, aligning with our preschool’s values and mission.
