Infant Classroom

In February, the Infant classroom will be focusing on gentleness. Teachers will model loving interactions so infants can begin to learn to interact with peers and adults in a gentle and kind manner. Teachers will also give infants extra cuddles and hugs to continue to develop their healthy attachments within relationships.

Young Toddler Classroom

This month, the Young Toddler classroom will be focusing on what it means to be kind to our friends and ourselves . We will read books and we will be singing kindness songs. We will also work on projects that allow us to work together and build positive peer interactions.

Older Toddler Classroom

This month, the Older Toddlers are bringing concepts of kindness and love to the curriculum by loving our bodies. We will be focusing on making healthy choices for our bodies. Our activities will include a fruit eating sensory activity, yoga sessions, and mindfulness activities.

Preschool Classroom

Preschool's word of the month is “heart” and how we can fill it up with love and kindness. Tags will be put on our heart sign for the kind and loving acts we do throughout the month. We will also be listening to our heart and work on our Healthy Way to Grow program. Our curriculum theme is Healthy Living and we will be exploring this through our fun activities.

Pre K Classroom

This month we will be bringing in concepts of kindness and love to the classroom by learning what it means to have and be a friend. We will be talking about how we need to use our words wisely to communicate and also show care and respect for others. This will be carried out in activities, stories, songs and art projects.

Pre K Counts Classroom

This month we will be challenging ourselves to be our best as we learn about different types of wellness. Some of our affirmations will be “I am healthy” and “I make good choices.” We will talk about kindness and how we can have an effect on the way that others feel. We will learn about types of foods and how we can be kind to our bodies.

School Age Classroom

This month we will be working on kindness concepts by reading and watching kindness videos made by peers. We will be working on an Amazing Box in which the students will be writing why the other person is amazing. We will be making a kindness jar by discussing different things that we can do for others and putting them in the jar. Then we will perform the small acts of kindness from the kindness jar. Finally we will learn all about avocados and their benefits and have the chance to try them.
