April in a Glance!

Look at the Exciting Fun Important events happening at WellKind School!

Look at the incredible things happening in our classrooms this Spring!

Infant Classroom

This month the Infant Classroom will be exploring nature both inside and outside the classroom. Infants will engage with nature items and use their senses to learn about their world.

Young Toddler Classroom

This month the Young Toddlers will be learning about Spring and what happens to the environment during this season. We will also be exploring the nature outside during our walks. And, we will make bee and butterfly crafts!

Older Toddler Classroom

For the month of April we will be learning about different ways we can be happy by using the tools of nature. Our activities will connect our senses to nature and and reveal ways that nature helps us feel relaxed as well as the inner joys it brings. We will take mindful walks while exploring different textures of sticks, rocks, and flowers.

Preschool Classroom

April showers bring May flowers and on our walks we will be looking for those first flowers. Our curriculum for April is Wondering about Bees and Butterflies. We will be doing some fun crafts and experiments. We will also start talking about growing our own nutritious vegetables in our Organic Garden.

Pre K Classroom

We will be making butterfly and bee arts and crafts. We will learn songs, dance to music and do yoga. We will be looking for signs of Spring on our walks. We will be finding ways to reduce, reuse and recycle in our classroom.

Pre K Counts Classroom

This Month Pre-K Counts will be welcoming in Spring! We are excited to see and explore nature and the changes that Spring brings. We will be learning about different insects, their beauty, and their benefits to our world. We will discuss how we can help take better care of our world. Some of our affirmations will be "I respect nature" and "I want to explore."

School Age Classroom

This month School Age will be playing some large group team building activities to help us grow as a community. Students will be challenged to rely on each other to complete activities. We will also be learning how we can take better care of our world and be inspired to act accordingly. Some of our affirmations this month will be "I am encouraging" and "I make the world a better place."

WellKind Teacher's Environmental Impact!

Spring is here and children and teacher's alike can't wait to go outside and play! We asked around our classroom teacher's about the activities that they appreciate most about the outdoors? and what are their favorite ways to care for the earth?
