Covid-19

Updates

Dear Families,

We are finally nearing the summer months, and in doing so we ask that you please keep the following information in mind. As the CDC updates their guidelines, our licensing agency (The Department of Human Services) does not immediately update their information and generally takes time to make any changes to our operating guidelines. Currently, it is still required that all families, regardless of their vaccination status, approach the door wearing a mask at pick up and drop off times. We will let you know when and if this requirement is modified.

When it comes to summer travel, we understand that many have plans to take a vacation or open their social circles. Our regulatory agency (the Department of Human Services) has not taken a stance on this issue and how it may affect the school community as a whole so we will be looking to the CDC for guidance. Their recommendations on travel are listed below:

*Fully vaccinated travelers are less likely to get and spread SARS-CoV-2 and can now travel at low risk to themselves within the United States.

Domestic travel (within the United States or to a U.S. territory)

  • Fully vaccinated travelers do not need to get a SARS-CoV-2 viral test before or after domestic travel, unless testing is required by local, state, or territorial health authorities.
  • Fully vaccinated travelers do not need to self-quarantine following domestic travel.

International travel

  • Fully vaccinated travelers do not need to self-quarantine in the United States following international travel.

Please keep in mind that these lifted travel requirements apply to vaccinated individuals only.

As a vaccinated individual, if you or your child have a known exposure to COVID-19, he/she may not return to the program until they have waited to be tested 5-7 days after the exposure date. If the test shows a negative result, they may return. For unvaccinated adults, you are required to quarantine for 10 days from the exposure date and your child’s quarantine begins AFTER your quarantine period attends. They may not attend until both quarantine periods are over, or a total of 20 days have passed.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding this information, please feel free to contact me at 570-346-8719 or elizabeth@wearewellkind.com

As always, thank you for your understanding and support during this unconventional time.

In wellness and kindness,

Elizabeth Keiper

Director
